We run fishing tournaments for carp and the BEST thing that works here is millet.
You get 6 lb. of millet put it in a bucket add 1 cup of flower, 1 cup of wheat brand and a box of Jell-O (best strawberry) mix together then you add a bottle of Karo syrup.
Dampen your hands so that when you start to mix it it does not stick to you and cause a mess. Then mix syrup in and put a corn, pop on a 2/0 hook then pack the millet around the corn pop (the corn pop helps keep the millet on the hook). When you throw it out in the lake it will break down in 3 to 4 min. and the carp comes along and sucks up the bait and when he does he gets the hook to! The best thing about this bait is you can keep it for weeks and it will still be good to use BUT DO NOT LET ANY WATER GET INTO THE BAIT. You can dampen your hands before putting it on your hook so it want stick to you but don't let water get into the bait! Have Fun!
