What is the Chain O’Lakes Online site all about?
It’s simple… The site is about the Chain and all the fun things to do that go with that!

How do I list my business in the directory?

Just click on the Submit your Business link in the nav bar above. Those who link back to us will be listed first with a higher page-rank.

All sites are reviewed as being in the northern Illinois Chain O’Lakes area and Chain related. If you are local but not Chain related you can become a Sponsor of our site. Contact us for details….

I added my site, why isn’t it listed?

Once we receive notice and confirmation of your link submission, we will then schedule your site for review. If your site is a credible business or Chain related Web site — your submission will be approved. While the Internet may be 24/7, we are only here Monday-Friday, 9a-5p CT. If you submit outside of those hours, you will need to wait for us to review your site on the next business day.

I added my site, but it was rejected? Why?

Unless your site is Chain related or in the general geographic area, you will be rejected. This is not a free-for-all directory. It is a Chain O’Lakes Directory for northern Illinois only! Links may be rejected or removed at our discretion. Our site; our choice in regard to the type of sites we want to promote and do business with. If you have a legit and credible site that is Chain related or located, you have nothing to worry about! Understand our goal is to offer a resource of great sites and businesses that our visitors can have confidence in visiting.

I added my site, how do I update my listing?

Fill out our contact form and let us know what changes you would like to make.

How long will my listing be listed in the directory?

Indefinitely and/or at our discretion. If your site remains live and relevant — so will your listing on our site.

How do I become a sponsor or advertiser?

If you are not a Chain related or geographically located business and want exposure to those who visit this site with a link in our Friends of Lake Online Sponsors category, the cost is $99.00/year. We also have display advertising opportunities available if you want the best exposure possible. Contact us for more info….
