Every person holding a hunting and /or fishing license shall have it, including all appropriate stamps, in his/her possession for immediate presentation for inspection to any authorized law enforcement officer.
- Resident or non-resident anglers who fish at Fee Fishing Areas licensed by the Department of Natural Resources are not required to have a license.
- Non-residents no longer need a non-resident hunting license if they are hunting only deer or turkey with a valid deer or turkey permit.
- Hunters born on or after January 1, 1980 must show proof that they have successfully completed the Hunter Safety Training Course provided by the Department or must show a previous years hunting license.
- Landowners or tenants ( you can be a non-resident landowner, but you cannot be a non-resident tenant) and their children, parents, brothers, and sisters permanently residing on the Illinois farmland may:
- Fish in waters on or flowing over their lands without a license (This exemption does not apply to club and organizational lakes or lake developments), or
